Driving to this location I remember listening to Nat King Cole's song "Unforgettable". The Lord painted a beautiful sunset sky for me and the title seemed to fit.

I spent a few days on the Oregon coast and was fortunate to come away with one sunset shot that I liked. I loved watching the powerful waves crash against the rocks.

This was a special evening on the California coast with my son Tyler. The soft glow of the light was just amazing. I'm so thankful I could share it with my son. It's become one of my all time favorites.

I love the winter sunset season on the California coast, and so do the surfers. Here a surfer catches a wave while the sun sets in the background and the surf crashes against the rocky shoreline. Just another winter day in California.

Rio Del Mar beach just south of Santa Cruz, CA. I was walking out to the beach to shoot the sunset with my tripod and camera over my shoulder when I saw this teal colored beach cruiser parked with the setting sun behind it. I stood there for a moment and thought...."That is totally cool!" So I just plopped my tripod down, framed the scene, made a couple quick adjustments, and bingo! Turns out this is one of my all time favs! Ya just never know.

This is a beautiful section of the California coast which I refer to as "the lost coast" due to the fact that it has been closed to the public. It's really a shame! The light on this evening was incredibly warm and golden.

The waves at Rodeo Beach were really coming in hard on this evening and I got totally drenched while capturing this image. I loved the light on the water and my son Tyler said that the sky looked like angel wings. I thought it was a good title.

We were on a family vacation in Fort Brag on the north coast of California. One evening I took the car and headed north along the coast hiway drawn along by the amazing clouds stretched across the sky. Just before the colors started changing I found these jagged sea stacks. It was a remote area and it was strange being all alone. It was like God was painting the sky just for me.

The last light of evening shines through the clouds on the north coast of California. Each time I drive to the coast I find myself dreaming of soft glowing light washing over the ocean. Of course that rarely is the case. But on this evening the coast was dreamy. This image has special meaning to me since I was able to share this moment with my son Tyler.

Walking along the golden sands of the north shore of Oahu at sunset. This image reminds me of the warm water washing over my feet and the sounds of Hawaiian music playing softly in the distance. After shooting the sunset I put a few pieces of coral in my pocket as a memory keepsake. There really is something special about Hawaii. I hope this image makes you feel as though you are walking on the beach in Hawaii at sunset.

The glowing light of evening over an amazing rock arch in Santa Cruz, CA I love the way this place catches the light. It's no wonder that so many flock to this romantic spot each evening to watch the sun gently sink into the pacific.
